About Jibby
My name is Dr. Jibby Brown, and I am an author, a consultant, a researcher, and currently the Special Education Administrator whose work has focused on developing an educational framework that strengthens academic skills of students by using 21st century instructional methods. I began my career 23 years ago as a special educator in an urban school district where I spent my first 12 years as a special education teacher and instructional coach. It was here where I created and implemented an RtI middle school multi-tiered community peer framework where all 800 building students (gifted, general, ESL, and students with disabilities) participated and moved from a school and community in decline to a school and community of high academic performance. I have earned my BA in Special Education and English, my MA in Gifted Education and Secondary Programs, and my Ed.D in Educational Leadership.
