About Heather
A qualified and practising teacher for 27 years, I spent 9 years as a Headteacher of a multicultural primary school in Birmingham. I qualified in English as my main subject, and have been a co-ordinator of Mathematics, ICT, and Music during my time in schools. I am a quiet, easy to get on with, person with high expectations of all children and a belief that everyone can do well when they try. I have very clear expectations of the behaviour of children I teach or tutor - and believe strongly that learning should be fun and not a chore to be endured. Does your child need help with passing the phonics screening check, or need more confidence for their end of key stage 1 assessments? I offer tutoring for all primary aged children; my expertise lies mainly with younger children, many of whom lack confidence. Heather has been a superb practitioner for the last 20 odd years I have known her. She gets excellent results from the pupils and they love her. As well as being great with academic subjects, she also teaches crafts such as papercrafts, baking and knitting/crochet! She has helped many of my relatives old and young with basic skills.
