I am classically trained as a singer, and have been singing professionally for over a decade. As an educator in voice I believe in teaching the fundamental basics of classical singing and then using those tools to lead a student into a wide variety of genres including pop/contemporary, musical theatre, rock and more. These tools in classical singing not only provide a strong path into all of these genres but also gives the student a stronger understanding of vocal health and how to support their voice in any style.
I am a very detail oriented and organized person when it comes to teaching, I always come in with a prepared lesson plan tailored to each individual student. I additionally believe that while a lesson plan is a critical part of each students experience, I also find it important to be adaptable to what any given student may need in the moment of their lesson.
