About Martecia
Hello everyone! I am a licensed professional counselor with over 8 years in the mental health field. I specialize in life transitions, anxiety, depression and self confidence/self-esteem. I also hold a supervisor license to help other counselors become fully licensed as well as a doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision. I obtained this degree so that I could teach courses on a college campus but also gain the skills and knowledge to provide mental health resources to underprivileged communities. The focus on one step ahead is to assist individuals in navigating any life transition that they encounter. Whether unexpected or expected, big or small, life transitions are going to happen regardless if we want them to or not.
In the one-on-one sessions, we will formulate a plan and utilize different techniques and strategies to guide you in your journey.
As a licensed professional counselor, educator and supervisor, I understand the importance of not only personal wellness also the fact that each of us are unique individuals with unique experiences. What may work for one person, may not work for another. This is why we will tailor a plan that highlights YOUR personal strengths.
