About Nusrat

Hello, My name is Ms. Uddin. I can speak three languages, English, Bengali, and a little bit of Spanish. When I was growing up understanding certain subjects was really difficult. But, when I grew up I learned which style of learning worked best for me. For example: visual, auditory, manipulatives, etc. Things like this made me enjoy and love learning. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and I have my Master's Degree in Childhood Education Grades 1-6. Reading and drawing are my favorite things to do during my free time.

About the lesson

My lessons are a combination of explicit and project-based learning. I always start off my lessons with the standard/skill of the lesson so student(s) will know what they will be learning during that duration of the time. Followed by an explicit model of the standard/skill. It will then proceed to a guided practice, where student(s) are doing the standard/skill that was modeled with teacher assistance. Then the remainder of the time will be independent practice where student(s) are practicing the standard/skill on their own. As student(s) are practicing I will be checking in with them and their work and coach them around the skill if need be. The coaching is going to be the most important part because I will be allowing it to be a student-led coach, which means with specific transferable questions are being asked so student(s) are able to configure the skill on their own. The lesson will end off with an exit ticket to confirm their understanding of the standard/skill that was taught during the lesson.
