About Laura
I am currently a PhD student researching novel cancer immunotherapies for brain cancer. My end goal is to have a career in bioengineering and cancer therapeutics.
I have done all my K-Grade 12 schooling in Calgary so I am familiar with the CBE curriculum. I did my undergraduate at the University of Calgary in biochemistry so I am very familiar with all of the introductory biology and chemistry courses.
I have tutored for over 4 years and have helped over 30 students. Teaching has quickly become a passion of mine!

My teaching methodology is often visual so I like to draw figures or diagrams to outline the material. I have also found various techniques to study for myself and peers and have many suggestions of study techniques that may help. Often, the key to understanding is finding the right words that make sense to the individual using analogies or examples and that is how I like to learn myself and teach others.
