About Naomi

As a tutor with 2 years of experience, I know how intimidating it can be to learn math or English, especially if you're just starting. I have taught hundreds of students over the last few years and I have never had a student who didn't succeed with hard work and a bit of help. No matter how hard the class is or how difficult a topic is, I am confident that we can succeed together.

About the lesson

For my math lessons: I usually start the lesson with a few warm-up questions from the week's homework. After that, we focus on strengthening just one or two topics for the session, working through harder and harder practice problems until the student feels confident about the topic. At the end of the lesson, I assign homework to reinforce what we worked on together.

For my ESL lessons: we start with a few warm-up questions from last lesson. I give a few examples of today's topic and we work through exercises and activities together. At the end of class we do a little review from prior sessions and I assign light homework.
