I specialize in math instruction from primary grades through college prep, including support for students with learning disabilities, autism, and other individualized education needs. Teaching Methods & Techniques: I use a mix of explicit instruction, visual models, real-life applications, and guided practice to make math meaningful and approachable. I often incorporate TAPPLE strategies (Teach, Ask, Pair, Pick, Listen, and Evaluate) to ensure engagement and real-time understanding. My sessions are interactive, adaptive, and designed to build both skills and confidence. Typical Lesson Plan Includes: A quick check-in or warm-up activity to activate prior knowledge A mini-lesson focused on a specific skill or concept Guided practice using real-world examples or problems Time for independent work with support as needed A closing reflection or mini-assessment to reinforce learning and set goals for next time What Sets Me Apart: I bring 15 years of classroom and co-teaching experience.
