About Cassandra

Dear futures students,
My name is Cassandra and I would like to become your future French tutor.
As a Canadian with Haitians parents, I grew up in a trilingual environment (French, English and Creole). I have a passion for languages ; last summer, I started an online course called Teaching English as a second or Foreign Language in order to improve my tutoring skills and this course helped me to learn Spanish and Arabic by myself.
Since the beggining of my studies, I had the opportunity to acquiere experience related to tutoring. During my first internship, I helped new immigrants to learn French. Also, in Peru, I gave English and French classes in order to increase their languages habilities.

Bonjour tout le monde ! How are you ? My name is Cassandra, I’m a French Canadian. I’m traveling a lot, so I decided to learn 4 languages by myself. Being polyglot was the best gift I gave to myself because I’, passionate about international interaction and being polyglot gave me the opportunity to talk with a wide variety of people with different backgrounds and culture.
As a French tutor, one of the most important things is to help you to develop positive attitude and mindset about French language and I’m here to help you to increase your French skills while share with you all information about the language and the culture.
It will be a pleasure for me to help you to improve your French according to your level and to your different projects. I’m extremely open-mind and I’m interested to talk about all kind of subjects/topics; I aim to give you creative and fun lessons!
Through the years I have developed various and diversified teaching method.
For example…
- I will build our lessons around your needs
- I will encourage your conversational skills ; we can Skype every week
- You’ll have monthly assessment to analyze your progression , strengths and weakness
- I motivate you and make sure you sound like a native speaker
- I will evaluate your learning capabilities and needs and I will suggest you new learning techniques appropriate for you
- I can give you self-created lessons involving reading, grammar, comprehension and create special documents for you and I’ll provide you explanation after each lessons
- I will provide you useful tools and documents such as videos, songs, games, texts, etc. according to your interests
