About Alexis
Heya,
My name is Alexis Sweet but I like to go by Lexi. I am 19 and I love helping people and animals. I have already started taking steps towards my dream of becoming a nurse and vet nurse by studying at Flinders University and TAFE SA
I completed my year 12 in 2022 along with my 3 certificates in Animal studies at TAFESA.
Due to myself struggling with school at a young age because of my auditory processing, as a tutor I would like to teach students by using visual and verbal aids to help them learn.
I know doing homework can be boring and learning new things can be daunting and nerve-racking , but as a tutor I try to make learning new things fun and interesting by creating games that not only keeps the brain active but also makes learning new skills fun for the student.

I can tutor years reception to year 6.
The typical length that my lessons can run from are 15 minutes to an hour.
I have many methods I'd use in order to help the students learn and or retain information, for example visual and verbal communication.
Because I was a student who had auditory processing, I found it really hard to focus for long periods of time, so my teaching method is taking breaks here and there to help the mind refocus and to not making the lessons boring. To help not make lessons boring, I come up with fun inclusive teaching games to keep the students brain active and to keep them learning new and interesting skills.
