About Chloe

As a current Michigan State University student studying Human Biology, I bring more than just academic excellence – including an 3.8 and experience with Calculus 1, Chemistry Gen Chem 1 and 2. My commitment to helping others succeed is reflected in my extensive volunteer experience (over 100 hours) at hospitals, nursing homes, and camps for differently-abled adults, as well as my involvement in NHS, United Way, SAE, and Peer Mentors. Beyond academics, I enjoy enriching activities like art and reading. My own academic journey wasn't always easy. I struggled with math and science in middle school, but through perseverance and self-discovery, I developed effective learning strategies and identified my own learning style. Now, I'm passionate about guiding students to find their unique learning styles, overcome academic challenges, and realize their full potential. I'm committed to providing professional and supportive tutoring that empowers you to become the best version of yourself.

Struggling in school? I've been there. I went from middle school challenges to graduating in the top 6% of my class by developing effective learning strategies and teaching myself the material. Lesson plan for tutoring:
I will begin each session by thoroughly reviewing the student's needs and preparing relevant materials, including practice problems and online tools like Desmos or a virtual whiteboard. I will test the technology beforehand to ensure a smooth session. To start the lesson, I will use a warm-up activity to review previous concepts and gauge the student's current understanding. I will clearly state the learning objectives for the session so the student knows what we aim to achieve. During the main portion of the lesson, I will explain new concepts clearly and concisely, using visual aids and real-world examples. I will work through interactive examples together, encouraging student participation. I will then guide the student through practice problems, offering support and feedback while encouraging independent thinking. I will adapt my instruction to the student's pace and understanding, providing additional explanation or practice as needed. To assess understanding, I will assign independent practice problems and review them together, providing constructive feedback. I will summarize the key concepts covered during the session. Finally, I will assign homework to reinforce learning, schedule the next session, and encourage the student to provide feedback and ask any remaining questions.
