About Dana
Over my 7+ years of education experience, I've learned that honesty and kindness inspire the best in both teachers and students. When I am your tutor, you can expect an open mind, a positive attitude, and fair expectations. But I also aim to be myself when I teach, and that means you'll get a teacher who's consistent, diligent, warm, and caring. The goal of the strongest students is not to be the "best" at their subject but to learn how to grow their knowledge of it. I do my best to create the best environment for that to happen.

My lessons are open to high school students and above, online or in person, and focus on building strong writing habits and skills that my students will carry with them into the future. The goal is not to "give you a fish." I want to teach you to fish, in a relaxed, easy-going, and friendly environment. In addition to improving individual assignments through proofreading and rewriting, each session will revolve around a specific hurdle that you have faced in your academic or professional writing (introductions, conclusions, tone, etc). In other words, I tailor each lesson to YOU.
