About Hannah
Hi! My name is Hannah, and I am a science teacher with a strong background in biology, veterinary science, and animal health. I currently teach high school biology and middle school science, and I have over 10 years of hands-on experience working in veterinary medicine and livestock production. I also work in veterinary practice, giving me real-world experience that I bring directly into my teaching.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences education and a master’s degree in veterinary science. My passion for science and animals started at a young age and has grown into both my career and teaching philosophy. I love helping students understand science in a way that feels approachable, engaging, and connected to the real world.
My goal as an educator is to help students build confidence while making learning less stressful and more meaningful. I understand that every student learns differently, so I work to create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and students feel comfortable learning at their own pace. Whether a student needs help improving grades, preparing for a test, understanding difficult science concepts, or exploring an interest in veterinary medicine or animal science, I enjoy helping them succeed.
What makes my teaching unique is that I combine classroom experience with real-life applications from veterinary medicine, agriculture, animal health, and scientific research. I believe students learn best when they can see how science applies to everyday life and future careers.
I look forward to helping students grow their confidence, strengthen their understanding, and maybe even develop a love for science along the way!

Hi! I’m a high school science teacher and veterinary science educator with a background in biology, animal science, and veterinary medicine. I currently teach high school biology and middle school science, and I also have over 10 years of hands-on veterinary clinic and livestock experience. I hold a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences education and a master’s degree in veterinary science.
My teaching approach is very interactive, supportive, and focused on helping students truly understand concepts instead of just memorizing facts. I believe science makes the most sense when students can connect it to real life, so I use lots of real-world examples from veterinary medicine, agriculture, animal health, and everyday life. I adjust my teaching style to fit each student’s learning needs and pace, whether they need extra support, enrichment, or help building confidence.
A typical lesson usually includes a quick review of previous material, guided instruction on new concepts, interactive discussion, practice questions, and application activities to make sure students understand what they are learning. I also like to include visuals, diagrams, case studies, and hands-on thinking whenever possible. For students preparing for tests, we focus heavily on review strategies, practice questions, and breaking difficult concepts into manageable pieces.
What sets me apart is my combination of classroom teaching experience and real-world science experience. I don’t just teach biology from a textbook—I bring in examples from veterinary medicine, livestock production, animal health, and scientific research to make learning meaningful and engaging. I also work with students on scientific thinking, research skills, and problem-solving, helping them build confidence in science.
My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and early college students needing support in biology, life science, veterinary science, zoology, animal science, agriculture, anatomy and physiology, ecology, and general science. I especially enjoy working with students interested in veterinary medicine, animal careers, or strengthening their science foundation for school success.
