About Fatoumata
Hi there! My name is Fatoumata (Fa-too-ma-ta), but you can call me Fatima. I'm a senior in high school and a dual enrollment student at a community college. Yes...I do high school and college at the same time! In my free time I play basketball, volunteer, and help create community events. I enjoy helping young kids with math because I love when I can use my sense of humor to enable them to understand a concept, and finally that "aha" or "ohhh I get it moment" It's very rewarding! I love watching children learn without fear and gain confidence and understanding!

I offer math tutoring for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, tailored to their individual learning needs and pace. My teaching method combines visual aids, real-world examples, games, and interactive problem-solving to make math fun, understandable, and confidence-building.
A typical lesson starts with a quick warm-up to review past concepts, followed by a focused, step-by-step explanation of the new topic using visual and practical examples. Then, we practice through guided problems and engaging activities, ending with a brief review to reinforce understanding and celebrate progress.
What sets me apart is my patience, creativity, and ability to break down tricky concepts into easy steps. I prioritize building a strong foundation in math skills while encouraging students to ask questions and think critically.
