About Nick
Hello, and nice to meet you!
My name is Nick,
I am a second-year student at the University of Toronto (UofT), studying Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the Faculty of Arts and Science. I'm hoping to receive a Computer Science specialist degree with a Focus in Artificial Intelligence while minoring in math and statistics.
I graduated from Earl Haig Secondary School with a 97% grade 12 average (top 6 courses), which included perfect marks in calculus and computer science and marks from all three sciences (biology, physics, and chemistry).
I attended Spirit of Math Schools Inc. since grade 6 as a student and worked 2 years as an Assistant Teacher at Spirit of Math Schools Inc., with grades 1, 5, and 6 students. I previously tutored high school students with chemistry and physics, although I specialize in math and computer science-related subjects and can teach them at the university level.
I enjoy teaching students theoretical concepts and applying them rather than brute practice. I find this to be the ideal learning approach as it maximizes information retention, leads to flexible approaches to problem-solving, and, most importantly, makes learning fun!
I also enjoy playing chess competitively and represent the University of Toronto in many tournaments.

Nick is such an amazing teacher! Not only was he really knowledgeable about different math topics such as calculus and advanced functions, he explains them really well and takes the time to make sure you understand them. At the start of grade 12, I had 83% average in math. Thanks to Nick's lessons, I got 94% in advanced functions and 95% calculus. I'm now at Harvard for computer science with an internship at Google and honestly, it's all thanks to Nick. Definitely worth every penny and the lessons have still stuck with me.
