About Nathan
I am especially passionate about working with students who may struggle with math or science, as I believe individualized instruction can have a significant impact on both academic performance and self-confidence. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter and a greater appreciation for learning.

My educational and professional background provides a unique perspective that I bring to tutoring. I hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have spent much of my career in healthcare, where I applied advanced mathematics, statistics, chemistry, and analytical problem-solving in real-world clinical settings. Throughout my healthcare career, I regularly educated patients, trained pharmacy students and residents, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams, experiences that strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
I later transitioned into education and currently teach high school Statistics, Geometry, and College Preparatory Mathematics. In addition, I am pursuing a Chemistry (Grades 9–12) subject endorsement through the APPEL program to expand my ability to support students in the sciences. This combination of classroom teaching experience, advanced STEM education, and professional healthcare practice allows me to help students understand not only how concepts work, but also why they matter beyond the classroom.
I am passionate about fostering student confidence, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. My goal as a tutor is to help students achieve academic success while developing the problem-solving skills and self-assurance that will benefit them throughout their educational and professional journeys.
