About Francis
I’m a dedicated student-focused English teacher with over 43 years of experience. I have been teaching secondary school students of classes 9 to 12. I can make lesson plans that incorporate students’ diverse interests and capture their attention and imagination. Over the years, I have learnt to integrate thematic units, generate independent thought, improve reading and writing skills, and instill a love for literacy in students.

I have a passion for Shakespeare’s tragedies, poetry, and novels. I have always been interested in motivating my students of English language and literature. Poetry, especially by poets such as Sylvia Plath, Ted Hughes, Seamus Heaney, and Yeats, is a passion for me. English pronunciation and accent have been of great interest to me. I always put a lot of emphasis on the good accent so that students can emulate the teacher.
