About Emily Ann
My main motivation for tutoring is the desire to help every student, no matter their ability or confidence level, to build a positive relationship with their education. A lot of my past students have expressed anxiety towards English and it is always my first priority to ensure every student knows that I will do everything I can to provide them with support and encouragement.

Having recently completed a degree in English Literature at the University of Southampton, and several years of tutoring experience, I take an adaptable and proactive approach to my lesson plans. Completely personalised around my students, I ensure that the content material of my sessions meets their educational needs and their individual learning styles. Furthermore, I have experience in engaging students with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with autism and dyslexia.
I tutor students from primary age all the way up to A Level English, with particular experience in preparing students to sit SATS papers and GCSEs. My lessons are typically 60 minutes long, but this can be altered to meet the needs of my students.
