About Megan
I am a PhD student at the University of Cambridge with a deep love of History and a passion for helping students reach their potential in the subject.
I hold a First Class BA in History from the University of Cambridge (2022) and completed a MPhil in Medieval History (2023), also at Cambridge, before teaching in a top independent school.
I am particularly interested in all things medieval, especially the religious and cultural history of the fifteenth century, but believe in the value of all History to students in today's world.

My teaching approach is student led, working with individual learners to identify areas they need support with and come up with strategies tailored to them. I aim to help students build confidence - an essential foundation to success- and deepen their understanding of the past. I believe that engaging and dynamic teaching by tutors who are committed to their students can make all the difference.
I have taught History at a top independent school near Brighton. I have experience teaching young people aged 13-18, including preparing students for their GCSE and A Level qualifications. Topics I have taught include: Germany 1918-1989; the Cold War; the Blitz; the Origins of the First World War. I also have experience supporting A Level students with their coursework module, with all my students achieving top marks. I particularly enjoy working with students on essay technique and argument.
I teach primarily GCSE and A Level. Typical lessons last 1 hour but can be tailored to your needs.
