About David
Hello students! My name is David, and I’m a native Spanish teacher from Madrid, Spain.
I specialize in conversational Spanish, Spanish for professional purposes, DELE exam preparation, and support for IGCSE and IB students in international schools. Over the years, I have taught students of all ages and from a wide variety of cultural and professional backgrounds around the world.
In 2018, I founded Academia del Español, a Spanish language school dedicated to helping students learn Spanish in a practical, engaging, and effective way.
Today, I manage, hire, and train a team of Spanish teachers who follow the teaching methodology and lesson structure I have personally developed. I strongly believe that learning a language should be interactive, enjoyable, and focused on real communication, and I’m proud to work with a fantastic team that shares the same educational vision.

I believe language learning should be enjoyable, dynamic and meaningful. My classes are designed to be fun, engaging where students feel confident participating and using Spanish from the very beginning.
I started teaching while still at university, first working as a tutor before becoming a full-time Spanish teacher, then in 2018, I founded Academia del Español, a Spanish language school created in response to the growing demand for Spanish education.
Now I’m looking to expand my teaching online to students from around the world.
