About Laura
I am a university student in my 4th year of psychology. I have been working with children and youth for the past 5 years. I have gained a profound love for teaching, and tutoring would be a great way to start. I was born in Colombia and moved to Canada 8 years ago to PRACTICE my English.
Learning the language opened many doors for me and gave me the confidence to stay in the country and explore other cultures.

In my time as a tutor, I have learned that the best strategies I can offer as a native speaker, which has been beneficial for all ages are:

-Interactive Multimedia: Using audio-visual aids, music, and movies to make learning dynamic and entertaining. For example, we can find a song we like and would like to learn to sing., expanding vocabulary and practicing phonetics.
-Real-life Simulations: Role-play scenarios and practical exercises to simulate daily situations, making your language skills practical and applicable.
