About Andrew
I have been tutoring in one form or another since 2009. Teaching is the best way to further my own education, as figuring out how others can best learn is, I find, quite intellectually stimulating. I like to get to know my students' interests too, because as Dewey and the pragmatist educators pointed out, the more of life you bring into each lesson, the more each lesson teaches.

My lessons identify specific learning goals, in keeping with ACTFL and New York State Regents standards, for learning Arabic, French, English literature, history, and economics. I use multimedia-driven lessons to expose students to all modes of using the language alongside primary sources that I curate myself. I'm happy to write one-pagers as well on topics that my students demand to facilitate their learning.
