About Crystal
English is my first language and the subject I've excelled at during my academic career. Phonetic learning is how I was taught and therefore how I teach. However, as confusing as the English language can become, it is necessary to understand the rules associated with spelling and punctuation in grammatical usage. Reading comprehension is necessary for independent learning and therefore the main focus of all lessons to varying degrees. I am experienced in teaching children as well as adults and am open to working with those learning English as a second language.

After learning about your specific needs, I will create a lesson plan that will fit your learning style and address any gaps in understanding. Lessons are also age appropriate in content as well as context. For example, elementary school-age children's vocabulary is going to consist of words with less syllables than those in the lesson of an intermediate or high school child. Any adult learning English as a second language will need lessons consisting of plenty of visual and audio aids. Any student who has mastered the language, but not necessarily the written application of it, will benefit from essay writing practice. Resume writing lessons are offered for anyone interested in learning no matter what age group so long as they know the alphabet and can spell their name correctly. Anyone needing to learn the alphabet can find assistance here as well.
