About Sarah
I am a high school student in Ossining, NY, looking to assist those in AP history subjects – AP US History and AP World History – of which I got a five and a four on the AP Exams. I have tutored students in my community since I was a sophomore in high school, but now I will share it with those outside my community. In my free time, I am an avid chess player. You can see me spending my weekends working diligently on online Chess Tournaments, going to local Chess matches, and watching videos on improving my technical abilities (particularly endgames, which are incredibly grueling). I also pride myself on being a violinist; despite facing several arm injuries, I have never sought to give up the violin and am a part of my school’s Chamber Orchestra.

*This course is for high school students taking AP World or AP US History*
-Email beforehand: Before lessons, students must send me a detailed email, including historical periods, events, and concepts they are having difficulty grasping.
-Lecture; Once I have certainty where students are having issues, I will create a 10-15 minute lecture discussing the topic. Students should ask me questions throughout the lecture.
-Online resources; Once I finish my lecture, I will use online platforms such as Quizlet Live or Kahoot to test students on what they learned.
-Worksheets: I will also create one-page worksheets for the students to practice what they learned. These worksheets should be sent to me before the following meeting via email.
-Practice Problems for the AP: I will provide students with practice AP questions regarding the topic we're reviewing; this will be around 10-15 multiple choice questions and one short answer question.
-AP Exam Tips: I will provide tips and tricks for students taking the AP Exam to familiarize them with AP questions and content.
