About Mallory
I'm a second-year honors student at the University of Georgia studying Microbiology and Spanish. I'm hoping to graduate and work towards a PhD in Microbiology, eventually working in a lab and completing medical microbiology research.
I have a 3.99 GPA, and have completed three semesters of chemistry so far at my university, one notorious for a very challenging chemistry department. I have obtained an A in each of these chemistry courses, and proudly achieved an A on every individual exam as well!
I currently work as a Peer Learning Assistant for a General Chemistry I class, but I have lots of unofficial experience tutoring my friends every time we had a study session! Frequently counted on by my peers to explain difficult topics, I consider myself proficient in explaining chemistry in ways that make sense. I'm also very handy with an iPad, and have an assortment of very neat, digitized notes and resources I created for my benefit as well as for my peers.

I have perfected methods to study and explain chemistry in a way that makes sense! While the subject is notoriously difficult, I've learned to love it and love teaching it. This includes:
- Understanding how to put concepts into terms that you understand
- How to prepare for a variety of question types and break down what a question is asking you without getting tripped up
- Learning how to memorize complex ideas
My specialty is helping complicated things look not-so-complicated! In my experience, this is the secret to mastering a chemistry class.
