About Ameerah

Hi! My name is Ameerah Mahmood and I have been teaching English - both Language and Literature for six years. Since I was a child, I knew teaching was the career for me because I love to help people and watch them succeed. In my experience of teaching, I have loved watching my students become the best version of themselves. I understand how important it is to do well academically, but as a tutor, I also want to learn about you as a person, not just as a student. Who you are will greatly impact how you learn and it's important for me to understand you, so I can help you achieve your full potential. We'll start your tuition journey together and side by side, I can guarantee your experience will be both pleasant and beneficial. Give it a go! About the lesson

Tutoring with me will allow you to reach your full potential - focusing on what makes you a great student and using these strengths to help you overcome your areas of improvement. I love teaching and helping students be their best is what keeps me going. Lessons will typically be an hour long but I'm happy to adapt to each individual's needs. I appreciate not every student learns the same way and we can work together to figure out what method works best for you. Teaching for six years has allowed me to adapt my teaching to varying needs, providing the right support and challenge for each individual student. Be prepared to fall in love with learning English Language and Literature - my tutoring sessions don't always follow the typical route and I'll have you thinking outside of the box! I teach GCSE level - following the AQA exam spec and am also an Exams Marker for their board too - giving me a first-hand insight into what is required for top marks.
