About Crystal
I have a passion with a specific population which happens to be the parents who are caregivers as well! I call them my parent caregivers or caregiver parents. It's become my niche population that seeks me out in therapy. However, I decided that I can offer a workshop on a broader scale that would be very helpful to so many people. I am the featured expert in a documentary about parent caregivers called Unseen that was featured on different streaming services and on PBS.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and also a Master's Degree in Social Work. I am a respected, full-time clinical therapist. However, I pride myself as being an advocate above being anything else professionally.

When you're a parent and your child receives a diagnosis that could change the course of their life, it’s not just their future that shifts—it’s yours too. The weight of such a diagnosis can be overwhelming, and often, as parents, you're so focused on meeting the needs of your family that you may not have the time or space to process your own emotions. This can leave you feeling isolated or unsure of how to move forward.
In this interactive workshop, you'll have the opportunity to explore your family's future goals while gaining clarity on what you need and want moving forward. Together, we’ll work to build your confidence in discussing your situation with others, and most importantly, we’ll focus on fostering self-compassion, so you can show up with strength and empathy for both your child and yourself. This is a chance to reflect, connect, and empower yourself on this journey.
