About Andrew
I am married with 2 daughters at university and a teenage son.
I have been teaching for over 25 years, and an examiner with the WJEC exam board since 2001. (I have seen every conceivable incorrect way to solve equations! You will NOT surprise me! And there is nothing that cannot be fixed!)
I have also seen the most fearful and timid students grow hugely in confidence, turn around completely and getting SHOCKINGLY amazing GCSE and A level results!
I also use a HUGE variety of materials and resources and can be very specific about using 'just the right' questions to unlock someone stuck or challenge the more able.

My approach with students is to be extremely encouraging and affirming. Lots and lots of supported practise, and repetician helps "keep everything in your mind at the same time."
I have succesfully taught HUNDREDS of pupils, and marked THOUSANDS of exam scripts as an examiner and so am completely familiar with common misconceptions, how to fix them, and what's required for exam success.
I can currently offer GCSE and AS / A2 Pure and Applied.
Lessons are usually 55 minutes long and I tutor online

Perfect! Andrew is very approachable and personable. He is an excellent Maths Tutor and has an impressive employment history as a Teacher. He has a solid plan to help my Son. Jake is really enjoying his Maths lessons once per week and we shall continue them through his upcoming A'Level course. My Son is also building up his confidence with Maths again thanks to Andrew.
- I met with Jo's son this morning.Andrew's response :
A really enthusiastic young man who has gone a bit rusty with his maths after a Gap Year, prior to starting A level maths.
Delighted that I'm likely to be working with him for quite a few weeks.
Glad that Superprof was able to put us together.
