About Eszter
I am Eszter, a native Hungarian from Budapest. As someone who studied linguistics at university, I became interested in how to teach my native language to foreigners, as I find it fascinating how different languages convey the same feelings through different words. In the first year, it was more like a hobby, but now it is my primary source of income and a true passion.
I have been teaching online for four years. Before that, I supported exchange students at university in learning Hungarian. I spent two years in Japan as an exchange student, so I am familiar with the challenges of learning a difficult language.

I believe that successful language learning is built on a foundation of genuine empathy between teacher and student. To me, empathy means truly understanding each learner’s strengths and weaknesses and knowing which methods will help them reach their goals. I see language learning as a highly individual journey, with different approaches working best for different people. My own teaching approach focuses on active use of the language from day one, because I’m convinced that there’s no better way to learn than by practicing and using the language in real contexts. This keeps lessons engaging, meaningful, and directly connected to each student’s goals.
I give lessons at all levels and provide textbooks for all students.
