About Abubakar

I achieved an A* in O-level Economics and later completed an MSc in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Stavanger. I have taken GCSEs myself and achieved 10 A grades in my O-levels, so I understand exam preparation from a student's perspective too.

Through several student-assistant appointments at UiS, I have supported students in mathematics and physics. I currently assist with MAT100 and have also privately tutored UiS students in these subjects. I bring that experience to economics lessons through patient explanations, structured practice and plenty of room for questions.

I enjoy making the connections between concepts, numbers and diagrams clear, so you can understand why an economic argument works. My economics lessons are taught in English and focus on O-level and IGCSE Economics.

About the lesson

Would you like to understand economics and write clearer exam answers? We start with your examination board, exact syllabus and exam year.

Lessons can cover supply and demand, opportunity cost, elasticity, business costs, inflation and government policy. We work on drawing and interpreting diagrams, setting out calculations and explaining relationships using precise economic terms.

For exam practice, we identify what each question asks and build a clear response step by step. We practise explaining cause and effect, using information from the question and weighing up different sides of an argument. You will attempt questions and explain your reasoning, with guidance and feedback along the way.

These lessons suit O-level and IGCSE Economics students looking for help with a difficult topic, regular subject support or focused exam preparation. Lessons are in English, online or in the Stavanger area.
