About Xin Yin

I am a dedicated international educator holding a Master’s in Teaching and Learning alongside a Psychology degree from the University of Melbourne. With extensive experience as a classroom teacher, curriculum founder, and student counselor, I have guided countless students through the demands of IGCSE and A-Level curricula.

I teach because I am passionate about empowering students to unlock their full academic potential and demystifying challenging subjects. Specializing in Psychology, First and Second Language English, and Humanities, I focus on building both subject mastery and confidence. I take pride in helping my students achieve top-tier results (including over 90% of my previous English students securing A/A* marks) while equipping them with lifelong critical thinking and study skills.

About the lesson

My teaching approach centers on understanding how each student learns best to build real confidence and academic success. Holding a Psychology degree and background as a Special Needs Coordinator and counselor, I structure my lessons around cognitive learning strategies, active engagement, and manageable study habits.

Whether we are tackling A-Level Psychology, IGCSE First/Second Language English, or Humanities, I break down complex theoretical concepts into clear, actionable steps. Every lesson is tailored to your specific goals: we focus on mastering exam board rubrics, refining analytical essay structure, and practicing targeted past-paper techniques. My goal is to create a supportive, structured environment where you feel fully equipped to master difficult material and achieve top grades.
