About Nimisha
Thank you for viewing my profile. I have worked at in-person tutoring centers including Eye Level Learning Center and ICode School throughout my high school career, and am confident that I can give students the knowledge they need. Furthermore, I am very proficient in math, achieving a perfect score on the math section of the SAT, completing college-level math courses (AP Calculus AB/BC, Multivariable Calculus, AP Statistics, and Differential Equations) three years ahead of time, and maintaining a 4.0 GPA. With my extensive tutoring experience and strong academic background in mathematics, I am well-equipped to help students excel in their studies.

I like to teach my students through a step-by-step hands-on approach where students not only learn by explanation but learn through asking their own questions. This way, students can get a comprehensive overview of the "by-book method" and enhance these methods to formulate a quick and accurate way of understanding and solving problems. A typical lesson would usually start with a topic overview and explanation, going through a few example questions together which the student and I would work together to solve, and lastly, questions to measure proficiency in the topic at hand. I believe that this approach, where students learn by solving questions together with their teacher allows them to make their own connections and find an accurate way to solve that is easier for them to remember and apply. I can take lessons from grades K-12 (kindergarten math - AP Calculus AB).
