About Safia Haniya

Hi there! My name is Safia and I would love to be your tutor!

I've had years of experience of tutoring and mentoring from high school onwards and finally have the time to do one of my favorite activities. I am an outgoing person who has had experience successfully tutoring students in kindergartners and students who were old enough to be my grandparent. If I was able to teach a Vietnam War veteran how to complete the square, I am sure I am able to do my very best in relaying the concepts that you're struggling with in a straightforward and gentle manner :)

About the lesson

Current medical student. 99th percentile SAT score, PSAT/NMSQT Commended in California (score was high enough to qualify for National Merit in most US states), 7/6/7 SAT essay score, Perfect 800 SAT Math 2, 4 on APUSH (self-studied) and 5 on AP Euro, received an A- or higher on listed courses.

I offer tutoring for PSAT/SAT Prep, AP Chemistry/Gen Chem I and II, General Biology/AP Bio, AP U.S. History, AP European History, Beginning and Intermediate English Composition classes, Cell Biology, Human Physiology, Histology, ALL Math up until Algebra II, Organic Chem I, ALL Public Health courses offered at my institution, French I and II, and Competitive Spelling.

I will work with you to create a study/accountability plan, tutor you in subject material, go over and proofread any papers for courses, and monitor your progress. I do offer a free 15 minute consultation meeting to assess your needs if you need regular sessions.

Online tutoring heavily preferred. Experience working with students of all ages (kindergartners to college students who were three times my age) and took classes on effective tutoring methods.
