My teaching techniques involve the Socratic Method, mind mapping, and a macro-level approach.
A typical lesson plan involves a quick introduction with the client’s goals in the lesson. Then, the client and I conduct a homework check. Afterwards, I provide direct instruction on a specified objective, and the student follows up with their independent work to apply the knowledge. Finally, the session concludes with solidifying understanding, clarifying any final thoughts, and assigning homework.
As an undergraduate student, I focus on personalizing sessions to meet the needs of my clients. My sessions are informed by my tutoring experience through CSF and ARC tutoring at the high school level. Also, I serve as a peer tutor for my fellow classmates.
This lesson plan is adaptable for students in middle school through college-level introductory courses.
