About Marte

Marta Hipólito, plastic artist and ceramist, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, in the area of sculpture in 2016.

My journey began in the plastic arts, having progressively focused on the area of author's ceramics.

After finishing my degree, I decided to do an academic internship in Greece, under the ERASMUS + program, which I did in the "ceramic village" of Margarites.

At the moment, I live and work in Porto, and I have been developing a project called Tär & Ärt, within the scope of author ceramics.

About the lesson

As for the Methodology, I begin by conducting a diagnostic test to ascertain the student's abilities. I try to understand which techniques and materials interest and captivate the student to explore and develop. Teaching is tailored to the student's interests. The student's creativity and freedom of expression is stimulated, with a special focus on empowering the student to explore his personal artistic language.

I thought that it would be impossible to find somebody who would teach me how to paint Portuguese tiles online.
I was ready to give up but then luckily I found Marta.
She helped me to find the materials I needed and we got started. She gave me good instructions and showed me multiple techniques in painting azulejos. She also shared many valuable tips to make the end result good. Thanks Marta for this wonderful experience.
