About Ada
I’m a drum teacher with 16 years of experience and a Master of Arts in Music. My lessons focus on developing strong foundational skills. I teach coordination, timing, technique, and musical expression. Students learn through both structured exercises and song-based activities. I work with beginners, intermediates, and advancing players. My teaching style is approachable and motivating. I adapt each lesson to fit the student’s goals. Practice plans are clear and manageable. We explore several genres to build versatility. I emphasize proper form and consistent improvement. Students are encouraged to develop their own creative style. I enjoy helping learners build confidence step by step. My lessons create a balance between discipline and enjoyment. Watching students grow musically always inspires me. My drum lessons are designed to prepare students for live performance, ensemble collaboration, and real-world musical situations while also developing technical skills and creative expression. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s skill level, goals, and musical interests, whether mastering foundational rhythms, refining advanced technique, or preparing for auditions, live shows, or studio recordings.
Lessons cover timing, stick control, hand independence, coordination, groove, dynamics, rhythm reading, and expressive phrasing. I incorporate exercises, song practice, improvisation, play-along tracks, and ensemble training to ensure practical, well-rounded learning. Students receive guidance on effective practice, goal-setting, and progress tracking to ensure consistent growth. My teaching environment is supportive, positive, and motivating, allowing students to explore creativity and take musical risks. Lessons emphasize listening skills, musical awareness, and adaptability to help students perform confidently in solo and group settings. Students develop independence, technical mastery, versatility, and expressive ability.
Milestones are celebrated to maintain motivation and track improvement. Each session balances structure with creative exploration, making learning engaging and inspiring. Drumming is treated as both a skill and a means of artistic expression, communication, and emotional connection. Students leave lessons with new techniques, confidence, and readiness for real-world musical challenges.
