About Lillian
I am a singing tutor with 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music with a Voice Major. I have coached over 300 students from complete beginners to experienced performers across Pop, Classical, Musical Theatre, Rock, and Jazz. My lessons develop genuine vocal technique including breath support, pitch accuracy, tone shaping, vocal health, and stage confidence. I am passionate about helping every student find and love their unique voice. My approach is warm, encouraging, and always tailored to each student's individual voice and goals. I use recording tools, pitch tracking apps, and backing tracks to keep lessons engaging. I have prepared students for auditions, choir placements, school productions, and recording sessions. My singing lessons develop vocal technique, expression, and performance confidence in a safe and genuinely supportive environment throughout every session. Every lesson begins with a structured warm-up covering breathing exercises, resonance work, and graduated scale patterns appropriate to the student's current level and voice type. I assess each student's vocal characteristics and technical starting point before creating a personalised and progressive lesson programme. Breathing and breath management are central to all my early teaching because they underpin tone quality, pitch accuracy, vocal stamina, and artistic expression. Pitch and intonation training progresses through ear training exercises, interval work, and melodic challenges using piano and digital tools. Pop and Contemporary students work on stylistic delivery, vocal riffs, microphone technique, and authentic emotional expression. Classical students develop resonance, supported tone, diction, posture, and the technical demands of formal examination and concert performance. I record significant performance run-throughs so students can monitor their vocal development and identify areas for improvement together. Performance coaching covers stage presence, emotional connection to lyrics, and managing performance nerves constructively. My commitment is for every student to sing with genuine freedom, confidence, and joy.
