About Jamar

I am a dedicated Saxophone tutor with 6 years of teaching experience, and I have successfully trained around 150 students from beginner to advanced levels. I enjoy helping students learn saxophone in a clear, practical, and confidence-building way.

My tutoring approach is guided and practical. I believe students learn best when they clearly understand what to practise and how to improve. I start with posture, breathing techniques, tone development, and finger control. Once these fundamentals are strong, students move on to scales, rhythm training, and song performance.

Each lesson is planned based on the student’s level and progress. I combine technical exercises with song learning and listening activities. I also guide students on effective home practice so improvement continues between classes.

My unique strength is my ability to give clear and practical guidance that helps students progress steadily. My goal is to help students enjoy learning while becoming confident and skilled saxophone players.

About the lesson

My saxophone teaching methodology is based on adaptability, collaboration, and positivity. I understand that each student has a unique learning style, and I design lessons that align with their preferences, goals, and pace—through listening exercises, hands-on practice, or visual demonstrations.

Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons according to student progress and interests, ensuring learning is engaging, motivating, and effective. Collaboration encourages students to participate actively in their musical journey, experiment with improvisation, and develop their creativity and confidence.

I maintain a supportive and positive environment where achievements are celebrated and challenges become opportunities for growth. Lessons cover saxophone technique, musical expression, improvisation, performance skills, and theory to create a complete learning experience.

I also teach complementary subjects such as sight-reading, ensemble performance, ear training, and music theory. My goal is to nurture expressive, confident musicians with a passion for music.
