About Jessica
I hold an MA degree in Computer Animation and a Grade A in A-Level Art & Design, and have 10 years of hands-on experience working as a visual design professional. To support my transition into educational support and child therapy, I am currently completing my Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification and preparing to study child psychology at university. This ongoing training ensures that my tutoring approach is deeply informed by child development principles, allowing me to provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment for your child to learn.

My lessons are designed to be a completely stress-free, highly encouraging environment for kids (KS1 & KS2) and beginners. I don't believe in rigid, high-pressure grading; I believe art should be a tool for building self-esteem.
I specialise in breaking down complex visual ideas into fun, bite-sized steps that keep children engaged without feeling overwhelmed. Depending on what your child is interested in, we can explore:
General Art & Design: Understanding colours, shapes, and traditional drawing.
Manga: Step-by-step character design and expressive drawing (which kids absolutely love!).
Chinese Calligraphy & Painting: A beautiful, calming practice that teaches focus and brush control.
Who these lessons are for: My classes are designed primarily for children in KS1 and KS2 (ages 5–11) and absolute beginners of any age. They are particularly great for children who might be shy, need a confidence boost, or are highly visual learners.
Typical lesson length: Lessons are typically 45 to 60 minutes. This is the ideal window to keep a child engaged, focused, and having fun without causing creative fatigue.
Whether your child wants to learn a specific skill, or just needs a patient mentor to help them express their creativity after school, I tailor every single lesson to their unique pace and interests. We can hold sessions online or in person—whatever makes your child feel most comfortable!
