About Gracie

I am a passionate violin tutor with 5 years of teaching and professional music experience, dedicated to helping students develop technical mastery, musical creativity, and self-confidence. I teach school and college students at all levels, from beginners discovering their first notes to advanced learners preparing for recitals, competitions, and exams.

One of the most rewarding milestones in my career has been guiding students from struggling with posture, technique, or stage confidence to performers capable of playing with technical skill, emotion, and expressive musicality.

My teaching emphasises strong technical foundations, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also nurturing creativity, musical interpretation, and expressive performance. I integrate music theory, sight-reading, listening exercises, and performance practice to provide students with a complete understanding of music.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace, goals, and learning style, creating a supportive, patient, and inspiring environment where students are encouraged to explore, express themselves, and reach their full potential. Teaching violin allows me to cultivate confidence, discipline, and a lifelong passion for music in every student.

About the lesson

I teach violin with a methodology based on motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, designed to cultivate technically skilled, expressive, and confident musicians. Lessons are fully personalised to each student’s abilities, goals, and learning style, combining structured technical exercises, creative exploration, improvisation, and performance preparation.

Motivation drives growth. I help students define short-term and long-term goals, monitor progress, and celebrate milestones, fostering engagement, perseverance, and self-confidence. Communication ensures lessons are collaborative, interactive, and supportive, giving students space to ask questions, share challenges, and explore ideas freely.

Creativity is a key element. Improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises allow students to develop a personal artistic voice and deepen their emotional connection to music. Integrity emphasises disciplined, responsible practice and respect for learning, helping students develop long-term habits for consistent progress and excellence.

Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and introductory piano, giving students a holistic and comprehensive musical education that supports technical mastery, artistic expression, confidence, and lifelong engagement with music.
