About Laurel
I am an accomplished teacher of reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, phonics, and writing skills. I take pride in contributing to the educational growth of my students and am committed to cultivating a stimulating and encouraging learning environment. I tutor on an individual basis and adapt the curriculum and my teaching style to the needs of the student.
I have my degrees in English and Psychology and am able to tutor all grades and subjects. At the higher grade levels I specialize in English related subjects.
I believe that a tutoring environment has to be fun and interactive in order for children to get the most out of learning. I always individualize the child’s tutoring program to best suit his/her needs. I am completely open to input from the parents.
Homework help, study tips, and essay editing for higher grade levels are also available.
