About James
I studied my first 3 years of Medicine at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, and am currently undertaking an MSc at Edinburgh University in Clinical Anatomy.
I achieved a Distinction at the end of my pre-clinical medical studies, reflecting a strong understanding of anatomy and the wider foundations of medicine.
As a medical student myself, I know first-hand how overwhelming anatomy can feel in the first few years. I also understand the difference between simply memorising structures and genuinely understanding how they fit together and apply to clinical practice.
My aim is to make anatomy clear, engaging and much less intimidating, helping you build a solid understanding while focusing on the knowledge and exam techniques that actually matter. Whether you're struggling with a particular topic, preparing for an exam, or simply want to strengthen your foundations, I’ll tailor sessions around you and your goals.

I focus on a 1:1 approach to teaching, uniquely personalising each lesson towards the long-term goals of the student. I can tailor specifically towards your exam learning objectives. I use a range of visual presentation styles to explore the concept in question, and try to link to clinical relevance where possible.
Typical length of a lesson - 1 hour
I am an intercalating medical student, taking a year out of my medical studies to study an MSc in Clinical Anatomy at the University of Edinburgh. I therefore have a wealth of knowledge surrounding anatomy and its clinical relevance through pre-clinical teaching, cadaveric dissection and clinical application.
