About BRIGHTON

I am a versatile, motivated people’s person with a hands-on approach, who always perseveres to achieve the best results. I am able to collate and analyse information, digest facts and grasp complex learning and teaching issues. I have excellent problem-solving skills that enable me to swiftly identify the root there of and develop effective solutions. I bring a proven record of teaching and administration of the highest standard.
My Strengths: An outstandingly strong academic muscle, blended with substantial statistical and logistics theory background. I am a very quick learner and implementer of ideas and policies in an organization, once I learn the basics my pace quickens. I can also work without supervision.I have an Honours Degree in Economics and completed PGEC(IIE) in Senior and Fet phases among other qualifications and pursing further studies. I have the knowledge, skills and 16 years’ experience in teaching, administration and research fields.

About the lesson

My view is that teaching, and learning should be both teacher and learner based. My strategies should vary with levels of understanding and preference of learners. Learners can learn on their own through learner centred strategies and they can learn as well under the direction of an expert through teacher centred strategies. This can be effective. I use direct instruction, demonstrations and then giving learners the opportunity to work on their own. This will deepen their understanding.
I believe in the idea that learners can acquire their own knowledge and understanding, and the role of the teacher would be to tap into this wisdom and use it effectively to educate the learner in class.
