About Siobhan

I’m a passionate and dedicated violinist with a deep love for helping students discover their own musical voice. I’ve performed across the world—from luxury venues in Europe to major stages in the U.S.—and have worked with renowned artists across classical, pop, rock, and cinematic genres. My background includes both classical conservatory training and years of real-world experience in live performance, recording, and string arranging. My teaching studio is focused on building strong fundamentals while encouraging creativity and personal expression. Whether you're just starting out, returning to the instrument, or looking to refine your artistry for performance or recording, I tailor lessons to meet each student's goals. I especially enjoy helping students bridge genres—classical technique with contemporary flair—and teaching improvisation, composition, and how to perform confidently onstage or online. I believe music should be both a discipline and a joy, and I strive to create a supportive space where curiosity and hard work go hand in hand. It’s a privilege to share what I’ve learned over the years, and I’m always excited to meet new students and be part of their musical journey.

About the lesson

My approach as a violin tutor is rooted in a blend of strong classical technique and real-world musicality. I tailor each lesson to the individual student—whether you're a total beginner, a classically trained player wanting to explore new genres, or a working musician refining your skills. I’ve taught students of all ages and levels, from young children to adult professionals, and I love helping each person grow in both confidence and creativity.

A typical lesson includes a warm-up with technical exercises (like scales, bowing drills, or shifting), followed by work on repertoire that's both challenging and inspiring. Depending on the student’s goals, we might explore improvisation, arranging, performance prep, or even how to play with backing tracks and loop pedals. I incorporate ear training, rhythm skills, and expressive phrasing into everything we do so students become well-rounded, confident musicians.

What sets me apart is the combination of conservatory training and global performance experience. I’ve worked with artists across classical, cinematic, pop, and rock genres, and I bring that versatility into my teaching. I know how to prepare a student for a recital, a studio session, or a stage—and I aim to make each lesson empowering, inspiring, and customized to your goals.
