About Selene
I delivered one to one tutoring sessions to adults and young adults, providing support during their studies at University, with very positive results. I am also currently a Tutor for Kent Adult Education, teaching Italian and Spanish.
With an infinite patience and endless fantasy, my students will never get bored!
With regards to my academic background, I have studied English and Spanish Literature for my BA, achieved in Italy with the best marks. During the three years of my Bachelor, I have gained a very solid understanding of teaching theories and techniques, having followed an in-depth module in Teaching Languages, followed by an assessment marked with the highest grade. When I moved to England, I have decided to apply for an MA in Translation at University of Exeter (achieved in 2017 with merit).
My language proficiency covers Italian as my mother tongue, fluent English and Spanish, a conversional French and a very basic Russian.

I adapt my teaching methods to the students, trying to understand their needs. However, as a base for grammar explanations, I always try to create engaging and relevant exercises according to the group's interests. Repetitions, role plays, fill in the gaps exercises are my preferences, in general.
