About Sofia
I am a PhD candidate in Classics. I am a Native Italian speaker and I have been an Italian tutor for the past seven years. l have had all kinds of students from young children to elderly learners. I am passionate about teaching the Italian language and culture and giving the opportunity to foreign learners to know the true beauty of the language.

My lessons are based on the needs of the student. We spend the first couple of sessions determining the level of Italian of the student and working out their own personal programme. I monitor the progress and examine what the student is most comfortable with. My lessons are divided in a written component and w spoken component. The spoken component includes pronunciation practice and correction. I include fun elements and games to maximise language retention.
