About Chelsea
Hi! I’m an Ivy League-educated literacy tutor with over 10 years of experience working with students in reading, writing, and academic support. My professional background is a unique blend of both mental health and educational work, allowing me to support students with warmth and compassion.
I bring a broad range of life experiences and interests into my work with students. I’ve lived in several different places across the U.S. and abroad, including Switzerland. I love connecting with students through curiosity about the world. I believe learning is most powerful when students feel understood, encouraged, and genuinely engaged.

I’m an Ivy League-educated literacy tutor with over 15 years of experience helping students build confidence in reading and writing. I hold a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Counseling and Psychological Services, which helps me support not only academic growth, but also motivation, confidence, and learning differences.
I use personalized, encouraging instruction and have experience with Lindamood-Bell Seeing Stars strategies for reading fluency, comprehension, spelling, and written expression. I help young students learn how to read, and students of all levels develop essay writing skills.
