About Brigitte
I am a journalist grad from Canada. Words have been my life in so many different ways and I have also helped family, friends, and colleagues with various assignments of life where writing was essential in landing jobs, helping others to understand what is written, clearing up confusion on the day to day activities involving misunderstandings of the English language, both written and in speech and to express the exact feelings and intentions with the right words in order to achieve certain goals in life.

My approach to the student is very customized, by way of an interview to determine weaknesses and strengths. Yes, there are basics, that everyone learns, and I would work on the grade/level that student is currently at. I find when I understand how the student learns best, what they know and don't know well, it helps in developing their speech or writing in a more fluent way. Depending on the age of the student and grade, I emphasize understanding words and their meanings and root derivation, especially with older students. The younger students, I would use, pictures, examples, and sounds of course. Again it would depend on the age of the student which can be from 4 until 25years of age.

24-hour notice for cancellation, unless it is due to an unexpected event.
If a student comes to my place for a lesson, if they are ill, I would prefer they not come and notify me per the 24-hour cancellation if possible. The lesson can be made up at another time.
