About Maude
I am a 23 years old student in languages and cultures, who love to teach. I have taught English to groups of Vietnamese kids between 4 and 7 years old at the same time as tutoring students between 11 and 15 years old. Also, I have been an online English tutor for Chinese students between 3 and 11 years old. I have done some tutoring in French as well, with Australians. I have taught English and French to at least 30 students and I really saw progress in their way of speaking, understanding and reading the language. I have done a TEFL course and earned a certificate. It gave me great advice on how to teach a language. I have recently moved to Australia and would love to teach French and gain even more experience in teaching my native language.

I am very joyful, extroverted and patient while teaching a language. One of my favorite feeling is to see the illumination in a student's face when he/she understands what I am saying and explaining. I love helping others and teaching is a good way to do it, especially that my passion is languages. With this job I can do what I love most : helping others and speaking different languages. I base my classes on the student's need and interests. If the student favorite hobby is sports, I would base the lesson around sport so it would be interesting for the student. For example, if we had to practice some verbs, I would ask the student to create or practice sentences with the verbs play, touch, throw, catch, etc. I would also create games to make the lesson fun and interactive, while learning important things. Learning a language needs to be fun, because it can be quite difficult at times. If the lesson is interesting, learning won't be so bad.
