About Kelsey Joanne

I am passionate about teaching because I love helping students discover their own musical voice and reach goals they may not have thought possible.

I find it incredibly rewarding to see students grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and develop a genuine love for music. I enjoy adapting my teaching to each individual student, recognising that everyone learns differently.

I also love sharing the practical knowledge I have gained through my own career as a composer, musician and audio engineer, giving students the opportunity to learn not only how to play music, but how to understand, create and apply it.

Most importantly, I want my students to leave every lesson feeling inspired, motivated and excited to continue developing their musical abilities.

About the lesson

Kelsey Joanne Rogers is an accomplished music educator with over 17 years of teaching experience. She holds a Master’s Degree and is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in the USA. Her approach to teaching focuses on developing both the technical ability and artistic expression of each student, helping individuals build confidence, refine their skills, and reach their full musical potential.

Kelsey has achieved outstanding results with her students, with many attaining Distinctions in their examinations and developing the skills required to pursue music at a professional level. She has also guided students who have gone on to explore careers and further opportunities as composers, songwriters, performers, and audio engineers.

With students and professional colleagues across the world, Kelsey has developed an extensive international network within the music industry and education community. Her global experience allows her to bring a broad perspective to her teaching and connect students with the wider world of music.

With an in-depth understanding of music theory, composition, performance, and audio production, Kelsey brings a unique practical perspective to her teaching. As a professional composer and audio engineer herself, she is able to bridge the gap between learning music and applying it in the real world.

Above all, Kelsey’s passion for music drives everything she does. She is committed to inspiring her students, nurturing their individuality and creativity, and equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel both as musicians and as artists.
